The moment has finally arrived. You are zipped into your gorgeous gown & ready to walk towards your handsome husband to be. Savour it. Whether you are have an indoor, religious ceremony or a casual, outdoor celebration, this is your moment.
Take it slow.
It’s exciting and you can’t wait, but don’t sprint down the aisle. Practice your walk and revel in that moment of entering the ceremony venue.

Think about the light
If it’s an outdoor ceremony, give some serious thought to the time of the celebration & the shade/light at the ceremony spot. Your photographer will LOVE you if you think this through.
Take in the moment.
Even if you opt to see each other during a first look before the ceremony, nothing takes away from that moment of seeing each other across the room moments before saying yes to the start of your adventure. Breathe. Pause. Take the time to savour each other’s reactions in front of all you love.

RINGS
Make sure it’s VERY clear who is to give the rings to the bestman before the ceremony. Often, this ends up being me as I have had them at the bridal prep, which is totally ok. A nice tip I always give for the ring exchange is to hold the ring from the bottom and pause just as you are about to put that on. This way, the moment is captured & you get the chance to pause, make strong eye contact and seal your love.

The First Kiss.
Just as mentioned above, hold each other and have a looooooong kiss. Everyone will be snapping away at the new Mr & Mrs so enjoy the moment. Ps. I’ll never say no to a fist pumps or happy dances afterwards. I LOVE this moment!!
The recessional
Yes, that moment you walk off to celebrate as newlyweds. Make sure your marriage officiant knows to explain to everyone which exit to leave from, how to form your confetti tunnel if you’re having one or where to meet for any group shot plans. It helps if you walk out a different entrance, but remember, you also don’t have to stick to traditions, the day is completely up to you.
