I’ve been asked a couple of times in the last few weeks if I think I will ever get “over” weddings, get bored or if I will create a “template” to follow so I dont have to prep so much. I know…I laughed too. First at the idea of me getting “over” the countless moments at a wedding that cover me in goosebumps and remind me why I do what I do. And then at the idea that there was a remote possibility that I could create a “template” to shoot from.
That’s the thing about weddings. The thing that I love, possibly the most. That each and every single one has the same ingredients but always, without fail, they turn out differently, always with a unique taste. So when Tish organised their engagement shoot {just have a look at those amazing details!} & told me all about their wedding plans, I knew this one was going to be “one of those.” A wedding that broke away from the norm..a beautiful recipe of it’s own.
Werner & Tish celebrated their forever with a heart-felt morning ceremony & a relaxed, fun, brunch reception. From her gorgeous, custom-made vintage dress & ring, to the small, intimate chapel that housed their ceremony, A casually-clad groom & brunch laid out under the vines. Beautiful hand-made decor elements & the specifically chosen traditions sprinkled throughout their day…every minute was a true reflection of their love. Personal. Sentimental. Perfect.
Tish, I hope you will always love and be loved with as much attention & ease. Werner, I hope you will be loved and love back with as much pride & wonder.
Mr. & Mrs. Els, I wish you days filled with calm, centred love. Days filled with funny faces & laughs. Days filled with turning to each other and saying “owl love you always.”
