The way his eyes sparkle when she laughs. How she crinkles her nose when he makes her smile. The way they ooze happiness and adoration for each other. Their story of how they came to be husband and wife…the list is endless, their love is boundless and their day was a whole combination of all of these things.
The morning of Marius & Nirissa’s wedding saw the build up of ominous-looking clouds, not the best weather report and a slight change of plan to the ceremony venue. But along with my goofy “no-rain” dance, I also reminded myself that every wedding is just like this: perfect in it’s imperfections. Personal vows were exchanged in front of family and friends, the skies cleared and gave us the most gorgeous, crisp light and most importantly, at the end of it all, two people said yes to the start of forever.
Marius and Nirissa, I could not be more thankful that I got to tell your story, it was so beautiful to watch your love unfold. Marius, I wish you a lifetime of moments that make your eyes sparkle for your wife. Nirissa, I hope each day starts and ends with a nose-crinkling laugh and a “crunchy” hug. Mr & Mrs Conradie, may all your days forward be as blessed at this one.
