I woke up the morning of Marc & Natalie’s wedding wishing that when I opened my eyes, the sound of the rain pelting down on my roof wouldn’t be real. But unfortunately Cape Town decided to ignore my traditional “no rain dance” and instead graced us with it’s pre-winter morning down pours. And it’s just the one thing we have absolutely no control over on a wedding day. The show must go on, and no matter what, the most important thing at the end of the day happens. Just like it did this day. Two people said yes to their forever.
Despite the rain, Nats was calm and so lovely, as always, surrounded by complete love & affection from her friends and family who helped her prep throughout the morning. A special trip all the way from Canada had her mum and brother right at her side, bringing a sense of completion to Nats throughout the day. My amazing second shooter Abigail K Photography popped over to the grooms table, where Marc was prepping with his guys before heading to Suikerbossie to meet his bride.
Natalie’s beautiful green eyes. Marc’s smile when he set eyes on her. The special Jewish traditions. The fact that Marc & Nats trekked out into the rain for me. The most amazing, crazy-fun dancing & celebrating. Ah man, was this one way to wrap up the first season of 2013.
Nats, I hope each day forward brings you as much joy and serenity as this day did. Marc, I wish you moments in every day that make you beam at Nats with such love. Mr & Mrs Sternberg, I wish you a lifetime of laughs, crazy-fun dancing and big dreaming.
