It’s always exciting when winter treats us to glorious, sunny days. But this day had me & Pippa from The Perfect Proposal practically jumping for joy. Because he was set on the plan. The plan where on a beautiful beach in Cape Town, he would get down on one knee and ask her that all important question. The plan that would have them holidaying around Cape Town, experiencing the Bo Kaap that morning and walking along the beach that afternoon. The plan that would get strangers “oooo-ing & aaah-ing” as they walked past their spot, all perfectly set up and waiting for the big moment. And once again, the plan, just like the weather, was perfect.
He took her hand and lead her along the beach. She stopped to wiggle her toes in the sand and take in the view. He edged her further along the beach, keeping her distracted by the view. The guitar player played. Beach-goers gathered. Hidden photographs were taken. He asked, down on one knee. With a collapse and a kiss, she said YES. A small applause came from their little audience and while Milena wiped tears of joy off her cheeks, Daniel grinning proudly. They enjoyed a beautiful picnic set up by The Perfect Proposal and joined me a little later that afternoon for a short proposal shoot.
