I’m not sure if these two ever stop smiling to be honest. From the moment I met Karen for a coffee at her consultation, to the very last dance I photographed on her wedding night, she beamed. She planned. She laughed. She was excited and happy. I met Mike the morning of their engagement shoot {staring VIP guest, gorgeous Ryder}…and the story here wasn’t much different. He beamed. He let her plan. He laughed {and made her laugh…a lot}. He was excited and happy. And trust me, not even the {rather cold} wind on their wedding day was going to stop them from enjoying and embracing every moment of the start of their forever.

Mike & Karen, you were absolute troopers in the wind. Thank You. To tell your story, and listen to your beautiful vows for your little family was such an honor. Thank you for the reminder that sometimes, in the middle of this crazy thing we call life, things work out just the way they were meant to be.

Mr & Mrs. Wahl, may the wind always be at your back. I wish all three of you a lifetime of loud laughing, lots of loving and big dreaming.

All my love, Chris. xx

Ps. A big thank you to my assistant Taryn Nicol Photography for being an absolute star as always.

Added Note: Mike & Karen both got ready at the spectacular Hout Bay Manor who are always such gracious hosts. It was such fun having them at the same venue, letting anticipation build, sharing Ryder duties & photographing them in the same spots, just moments apart.

xx
