If you know me, you’ll know that it’s not often that I’m left searching for words to describe something. But I have to be honest, it’s taken me a couple of weeks to get these images together and to sit down to process how much I learnt in the two days at Jani B‘s wedding photography workshop last month. You know me, I believe in change…but it also scares me. And there is something a little daunting about realising just how far you & your little business still have to go. But it’s also so exciting…and it’s been so refreshing to reflect on the honest lessons from Jani’s workshop as I’ve been working on the next steps for Christine W Photography, with “the move” heading our way.

I have to confess that I’m a bit of a Jani groupie and her workshop has been on my business bucket list since the start of last year, so when her winter wedding workshop came up I couldn’t wait to spend two days learning from her, and it’s hard to describe just how much I walked away with. Two whole days of uninterrupted focus on building my business. A shoot that was styled to perfection. Models who braved the most ferocious wind Cape Town had seen in a while. Beautiful, four-legged VIP guest appearances. Learning tips and tricks from one of my favourite wedding photographers. But mostly…spending time with such an inspiring group of people who have the same love for this as I do. I wish I could do a workshop every month.

Jani, thank you so much for sharing so honestly and completely. Despite the crazy weather moving our shoot indoors, you rocked the new plan and gave us over and above. To everyone involved in the styled shoot, thank you for contributing your talents to the workshop. It looked spectacular. Please head over to their sites and show them some love:
